Dr. Rainar Nitzsche (born December 27, 1955 in Berlin) lives in Kaiserslautern. 

He studied biology, doing his thesis on a spider subject. 

He has photographed animals since childhood, and has published several books about spiders, writing short stories and poems illustrated partly with his own photographs. 

In 2010 he had his first exhibition of spider photos - real and artistically changed.
